about

Acoustic trio album with eight improvised pieces based mainly on standard tunes. The music has a sparse open and vunerable quality.
In 1955 Don Rendell played the tenor solo on a famous Ted Heath recording of the Miles Davis tune "Cloudburst". The title track "We Met" is based on that jazz standard and the title comes from the Jon Hendricks' words set to the original melody.
